Testimonials
Brookline was an invaluable partner before, during and after the World Cup of Hockey 2028 announcement in Alberta. Acting as a true extension of our team, they worked seamlessly with the NHL, OEG Sports & Entertainment and other partners for asset development and to execute a fulsome, strategic and results-driven media relations plan. Their team is professional, insightful and consistently delivers at a high level, making them a pleasure to work with.

Success Story

The Challenge

Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation (CSEC), in partnership with OEG Sports & Entertainment and the NHL, announced that Calgary and Edmonton would co-host the World Cup of Hockey 2028. The challenge was to maximize national impact while coordinating messaging and media outreach across multiple partners and markets, while meaningfully integrating the under-construction Scotia Place into the broader narrative.

The Big Idea

Make the World Cup announcement bigger than hockey. The strategy connected the tournament to a broader story of city-building, economic growth and Canada’s leadership in hosting global events, using Scotia Place as a forward-looking anchor for the story.
