Toronto Star, Canada’s largest daily newspaper has just launched a new site www.thestar.com/askwhy The campaign will be the largest marketing campaign the Star has run in recent history. It will run for 12 weeks and will appear on TV, radio, cinema
and in magazines as well as in the Toronto Star. They will also leverage online properties such as MSN, Yahoo, The Weather Network, torontolife.com and other sites, including thestar.com. The advertising campaign was created by Lowe Roche and Draft. Draft is the Toronto Star’s marketing agency of record.

    Ultimately we are still bombarded with images of ultra thin bodies because clothing hangs beautifully on them. The fashion industry is in place to sell us clothing and luxury items, and time has proven to show us that the nubile youth sells it best.

    Answer: Because we’ve been conditioned throughout the years to believe that “fat” is harmful to health. I would also add that we still live in a society where perception counts, and consequently, businesses cater to the thin. Fat is almost always never portrayed as feeling good or looking good.

  • The question of the day is “Why isn”t soccer as big as hockey”. Hockey is portrayed as the national game and built up to such a degree and hype by the media and our society that soccer does not have a chance of becoming as great as hockey.
    If this is the contest site it is very difficult to find.

  • It is important to help others because we all belong to the human race, regardless of colour or creed. I once read that it is necessary to ” knead love into the bread you bake; wrap strength and courage into the parcel you tie for the stranger with the weary face;hand trust and candour with the coin you give to the man with suspicious eyes.” This demonstrates the presence of God in your life.

  • Competitive sports are necessary, but should be played in the spirit of enjoyment, not necessarily to win.

    and… to reiterate what has been said before, it is very hard to find the contest site, and to understand if you want the question repeated or if you would like an answer to the question.
