BC-based Tranzeo Wireless Technologies announces that the Board of Directors of Tranzeo has appointed Patrick N. Smith as Chairman of the Board. Patrick was previously lead Director for the Board and replaces Mr. James A. Tocher who will continue to serve as a board member and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Mr. Smith’s appointment was recommended by the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee of the Board and subsequently approved by the Board. Mr. Smith was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wavesat Inc., a global leader in mobile broadband, providing advanced semiconductor solutions, until Wavesat’s acquisition by Cavium Networks in February of this year. Mr. Smith was extensively involved in Wavesat’s Indian deployments. Mr. Smith was previously VP Systems Integration and Technology Planning for Sprint in Kansas City.[adrotate banner=”6″]
