Haivision Network Video made two significant acquisitions last week which will results in the formation of a new Internet Media Division. The Montreal-based video organization acquired KulaByte Corporation of San Marcos, Texas, and MontiVision Imaging Technologies based in Germany for an undisclosed sum.

“All market segments now demand access to a high-quality live and on-demand HD media experience regardless of network or platform,” said Mirko Wicha, President and CEO of Haivision Network Video.

The new division that Haivision creates will be comprised of technologies from both both companies, including advanced encoding, transcoding, cloud computing, and workflow solutions.
