After he graduated from University of Waterloo in Ontario in their electrical engineering program, Chamath Palihapitiya eventually made his way down to California. Over the years he has held senior management positions at AOL, Mayfield Fund, Winamp and Spinner.com and went on to become one of the original member of Facebook’s management team. While at Facebook, he served in various roles during his four-year stint at Facebook, including Vice President of user growth, mobile and international at the conclusion of his tenure in June.Palihapitiya, 34, has been a figure in the venture capital business and a multitude of successful online ventures during their formative stages. His latest move take him to a seat to a new arena as the 34 year-old joins the Golden State Warriors as an Executive Board Member.
