Tired of those lines up and fighting other drivers for parking spots? Today, Future Shop and Best Buy (who owns Future Shop) announced the launch of a Canadian first, personalized eGift cards. This new offering now allows Canadians to give electronic gifts and other incentives that can be delivered directly to the recipients email, the service is a partnership through CashStar.

“Gift cards have always been popular, but now Canadians can e-mail gift cards and personalize them by adding a custom message or sharing them on a friend’s Facebook wall,” said Angela Scardillo, Vice President of Marketing, Best Buy Canada. “eGift Cards are the perfect last minute gift or impromptu surprise. I love that I can choose the design and message and share through social media or e-mail.” Cards are delivered directly to the recipient’s email address and have no service fees or expiration dates. Senders are notified when the eGift Card is sent and opened.

Smart move on their part, and will help to ensure they stay the top retailer of electronics in Canada.
