Samsonite Canada rolled out an updated website this week, the new site is also now optimized for mobile ecommerce, allowing shoppers to make purchases on the go.

“We aim to perpetuate and enhance our leadership position in the market; firstly by continuing to provide best in class products and a total  support philosophy for our valued Samsonite Retailers and secondly by upgrading our ecommerce platform with an enhanced experience for consumers who prefer this purchasing style” notes Paul DeCorso, General Manager at Samsonite Canada.

The new website places equal prominence on increasing foot traffic to local retailers through tools such as GPS detection and a store locator.

A number of additional features help the new site provide a positive user experience.  IP address detection on the desktop version gives consumers the ability to locate their nearest retailer, while simplified, stripped-down check-out steps enhance and clarify the online purchase process.
