The Windsor Star, part of Postmedia Network of newspapers has announced a new enhanced version of its website using responsive web design has been launched.  Windsorstar.com’s dynamic responsive site was created to give users an optimal viewing experience by automatically resizing the layout to fit across a wide variety of devices from desktops to tablets and smartphones. Following the pilot in Windsor, Postmedia plans to roll out responsive websites to all of its markets in 2013.

The development team turned to WordPress’ content management system and SAXOTECH’s print publishing solution to help create the new look.  Readers can now enjoy the latest local news as it occurs in their city with photo galleries and videos included. Designed to make it easy for readers to find local content fast, the search bar scrolls down the page and the menu, conveniently located at the top of the page, allows for easy searches for stories based on topics of interest including the courts, TrafficWatch and city hall.
