Monster High Activation - Scarborough Town Centre 1Mattel Canada will make screams come true with the debut of the Monster High 13 Wishes interactive experience at two of Canada’s premier indoor shopping destinations across Toronto. Fans will have a chance to be virtually transported as their favourite Monster High ghoul, into an exclusive sneak peak scene from the upcoming 13 Wishes movie, set to release on October 8, 2013.

“Monster High is one of the fastest-growing and most popular tween girl franchises,” said Adriana Gut, Senior Marketing Manager, Mattel Canada Inc. “Mattel is thrilled to share the virtual experience of 13 Wishes with its most loyal ghouls, and allow them to, in essence, step into the world of Monster High and help bring the characters and new film to life.”

Fans who visit the Monster High 13 Wishes virtual activation will have the opportunity to enter a scene from the soon-to-be released film as one of six Monster High characters: Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, Howleen Wolf, Lagoona Blue or Twyla. Users are welcomed by Gigi Grant the genie, before they are given the ability to scroll through the character carousel and choose which Monster High character they want to embody as they ‘Enter the World of 13 Wishes’. Incorporating a special camera and an application that runs a skeleton detection system to mimic motion, the chosen character will mirror the users movements on a life-size 10’x7’x2’ digital wall.

“In anticipation of the 13 Wishes film release, we are very excited to debut this unique virtual interactive user experience with Monster High fans in partnership with Mattel,” said Imran Choudhry, Vice President of Consumer Engagement at TrojanOne Ltd.

In addition to the interactive experience, selected lucky Monster High fans will be awarded with a limited edition Catty Noir doll just in time to celebrate Friday the 13th. Catty Noir dolls are also available in stores where Monster High goods are sold. The Monster High 13 Wishes interactive experience will be on location at the Scarborough Town Centre, September 13-15, and at the Toronto Eaton Centre, October 4-6.
