As one of Canada’s largest financial institutions looks to separate itself other national banks, as well as a strong Canadian Fintech sector, BMO made a major announcement today with its latest appointment. Effective November 30, Brett Pitts joins BMO in the newly created position of Chief Digital Officer.
In this role, Brett will lead the bank’s digital portfolio and oversee North American digital experiences and channels.  He and his team will be focused accelerating its digital agenda to deliver an industry leading customer experience and encourage digital adoption for self-service transactions.

Prior to the move Brett had spent the last 17 years with Wells Fargo where he spent the past 17 years in a number of progressively senior roles within its Digital Channels group. Most recently the Executive Vice President and Group Head of Digital, responsible for all aspects of the bank’s digital channels and experiences.
