A few weeks ago we reported about the latest initiative from Heart and Stroke Foundation as they issued a warning to marketers on the way advertising to kids is being done. Now our partner Ad Standards is going a step further and offering their new webinar to provide more guidance to help marketers.
The Code for Responsible Advertising of Food and Beverage Products for Children comes into effect on June 28. As of this date, only foods and beverages that meet specified nutrition criteria may be advertised in a manner that is primarily directed to children under the age of 13.
Who should attend
Everyone involved in the marketing of food and beverage products should attend these webinars to understand the requirements of this new industry-developed voluntary Code and its accompanying Guide.
Part 1: An Introduction – May 10, 2 p.m. ET
This webinar will give attendees an overview of the new Code and the requirements to allow for advertising primarily directed to children. Plus, get to know the factors that Ad Standards will use to determine whether ads are “primarily directed to children.”
