It is official: Interpublic Group (IPG) has entered a new era and is now a part of Omnicom.  Less than 24 hours ago, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) was deep in talks to acquire the global advertising holding company.

Omnicom will buy Interpublic Group in a stock-for-stock deal that will create an advertising powerhouse with a combined annual revenue of almost $26 billion.

  • new Omnicom will have over 100,000 expert practitioners
  • services will include media, precision marketing, CRM, data, digital commerce, advertising, healthcare, public relations and branding
  • the deal will create the world’s largest advertising group
