Communications company Shaw announced this week it is adding a Video On Demand (VOD) service to its suite of offerings. Shaw Direct as it will be known as will be available to all Shaw customers, and can be access through any device.

“The entertainment landscape is changing and more than ever consumers want to access content on the go,” said Peter Bissonnette, President, Shaw Communications Inc. “Shaw Direct’s new Online VOD library is only the beginning of our continual commitment to deliver full-access on demand content to our customers, so they can experience exceptional entertainment anywhere in Canada.”

According to Shaw, this is the first phase of their VOD platform and is expected to launch with a number of popular movie and tv programs such as Switch, Despicable Me, Buried.
