The fourth annual Mobile Money Canada conference is taking place in Toronto which brings together the mobile payment ecosystem. Presentations from companies such as Mastercard, Visa, SecureKey, and Interac (to name a few).

The day started off with Yvon Audette, Partner, Management Consulting National Leader at KMPG who gave an overview of the mobile money landscape here in Canada. The next speaker was Kevin Faragher, Director, Mobile Banking Strategy and Planning, CIBC. Kevin’s talk was focused on the evolution within the mobile space. The final speaker before the first morning break was Karim Khoja, CEO, Rashan (M-Paisa). Karim made the trip over from Afghanistan who shared antidotes of how mobile technology is being used in developing countries around the world.
