UberFollowing the bad recent number for a few hundred Uber employees who were laid off, the company has now confirmed it is in a hiring free on engineering roles across North America.

The company had burned through more than $5.2 billion in the second-quarter, so now the cost cutting begins for the ride-sharing company as it aims to be profitable.
