FoodoraFoodora (a subsidiary of Delivery Hero SE) has announced it will be shutting down its service in Canada after 5 years of operation.  During the 5 year time it Foodora has expanded into 10 cities across Canada and over 3,000 restaurants in its network.  Much like ride sharing services such as Uber Foodora relies heavily on its third party deliver staff to make their service possible.

Earlier in the year the couriers had decided to unionize through the Ontario Labour Relations Board which puts pressure on Foodora.  They have also racked up $4.7 million owed to various restaurants and other creditors across Canada.
