MavenGeneral Motors (GM) has shut down its car sharing business Maven in Canada:

“Maven is closed and winding down markets. We are not accepting new members. For current members in a reservation, you will receive email instructions on when and how to return.”

The service first launched in 2018 across a few cities in Canada but never hit critical mass due to a few key challenges the brand faces, but in a world where ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft have dominated Maven never had a chance.
