It has been confirmed, with the global layoffs to the tune of 10,000 people, this did include some Canadian staff. So far it seems to be those staff working in their Alexa hardware division who was also the focus on the larger cuts. We are hearing that Google is considering cuts of up to 10,000 employees which has a high probability that this will include some Canadian staff. We will keep you posted as more news becomes available.
