On July 4, the famous Canadian chocolate bar, Coffee Crisp, made a rare appearance in the US for a single day, but with a unique catch: it could only be given as a gift by a Canadian. A special vending machine was set up at the Canada–US border in Peace Arch Park, Vancouver, BC, allowing Canadians to treat their American friends to a complimentary Coffee Crisp.

The stunt celebrated the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, showcasing Canadian generosity and good-natured fun. Sweet, eh?
With fans from neighboring regions eagerly requesting its presence on social platforms, the company chose to shake things up with a lighthearted act. The vending machine sought to generate excitement domestically and internationally by capitalizing on the candy bar's charm, scarcity, and nontraditional essence.

“We’re thrilled to bring this surprising initiative to life, highlighting the special bond between Canada and the US and making this Canadian treat accessible to those who’ve been craving it, but couldn’t get their hands on it,” said Riona Coller, Marketing Leader at Nestlé Canada. “This was purely meant to demonstrate the unique charm of Coffee Crisp, sparking curiosity and anticipation. We’re excited to share this beloved chocolate bar with our American neighbours and see it bring them joy.”
